* Our mission:
To offer wellness experiences in connection with nature to women, especially professionals and entrepreneurs, who are seeking a better balance in their lives.
* Our vision:
To promote calm, compassion and connection to self and nature.
* Myriam Desmarquis, guide and owner:
Based in Eastern Ontario since 2009, Myriam lives here with my family and has many years of experience in the mental health field. Her personal and professional interests led her to develop a practice first of yoga, then of mindfulness in its various forms and, more recently, of shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing in French.
OUR SERVICES
1.forest bath walks
This practice, also known as shinrin-yoku, was first developed in Japan in the 1980s. Shinrin-yoku, which literally translates as “forest bath”, aims to promote a sense of relaxation, connection with nature and well-being by enjoying the beauty of the forest. You can expect a slow walk, or you’ll be invited to use your senses to observe and listen around you as well as within.
Research surrounding forest bathing suggests that this practice can help boost the immune system, increase energy levels and reduce stress.
Mindfulness meditation
2. Public or private meditation groups in a variety of indoor or outdoor settings.
-With friends, family or work colleagues, a great opportunity to find calm together!
3. Workshops
-Workshops on mental health in the workplace and mindfulness for women, offered by our social worker.
