Garden Path Homemade Soap began as a hobby. Originally, Tara was a teacher and when she learned that there was an interest in the homemade products she was creating, she decided to turn her hobby into a full time business where she could teach the benefits of using more natural products and harvesting organic plants as ingredients! It was a way to combine her love of gardening with the love of creating natural bath & body products. These products are available throughout the year in the boutique and online. Many of the herbs and flowers used in the products are grown in the extensive gardens on the five-acre property. Visitors have the opportunity to take numerous photographs of the lavender labyrinth, the pond, the gardens or the monarch butterflies that are raised on site every summer (Aug-Oct) in the “Monarch Motel”. Visitors can learn about the life cycle of the monarch and view the metamorphosis up close. It’s a personalized experience where visitors from all over the world can learn about the business’ environmental practices and natural product line.
