AgriCité 2023

The event will take place on April 13 at the Excentricité pavilion of La Cité College from 12:45 to 4:00 pm. The agricultural community, the college community and the general public are invited to attend.

During the event, participants will have the opportunity to visit experiential booths to learn more about the production methods of local and international food products. Tastings will be offered. Experts have also been invited to guide us in our food choices.

AgriCité 2023 is organized by the students of the Institut de formation et de recherche agroalimentaire (IFRA) of La Cité College, as part of their Business Relations course. AgriCité is an experiential activity where students put into practice the skills they have developed in the course.

12:45 p.m. – Welcome and opening remarks – Patrick Mainville, Director IMET-IFRA

1:10 pm – Food security, urban agriculture and new trends: bringing consumers and producers together – Simon Lachance, Ph.D., professor in Agricultural Techniques

2:00 p.m. – Demystifying social media and other communication tools to reach consumers in 2023 – Louis Béland, EOAN, André Dumont, Agricom and Audrey Lizotte, Ferme l’Artisan Farm

3:00 p.m. – Bringing together local consumers and international producers – When our choices go beyond our borders – Panel discussion moderated by Nadia Carrier, Coordinator of the Agricultural Technology Programs
