The Eastern Ontario Agri-Food Network (EOAN) is proud to promote its hyper-local network of 150+ small scale producers amidst the recent tariff scares coming from our southern neighbour.
“As a farmer and small scale producer, this message is quite important for my family and my region, especially in these uncertain times,” added Sylviane Dutrisac, Ferme Butte & Bine Farm owner and EOAN President. “It doesn’t get more local than your own backyard and we want people in the region to know the Network is here to ensure you get local quality goods.”
The Network has been around since 2010 with its non-profit mandate to support local producers in Eastern Ontario, mainly in the Prescott-Russell, Stormont Dundas & Glengarry, Cornwall, and the Ontario portion of Akwesasne. Whether you’re looking for exotic fruits, vegetables, local meats and cheeses (including non-dairy alternatives), award-winning beer, wine and spirits, the Network has you covered.
“We can all agree buying local helps everyone in the community. We want to make it easy for folks to buy local and feel better about their food and drink choices,” added Eric Collard, Executive Director of EOAN. “Our website (https://savoureaston.ca/) has tons of info to get started on your hyper-local journey, and most of our members are within 100kms of major centres like Ottawa and Montreal.”
