On March 26, 2024, the EOAN successfully held its much-anticipated Annual General Meeting. This landmark event brought together our members and partners for an in-depth reflection on the past year’s achievements and a lively discussion on future prospects. We are grateful to Vankleek Hill Vineyard for generously hosting this special occasion. In addition, we would like to express our deep gratitude to our President, Sylvianne Dutrisac, and our General Director, Louis Béland, for brilliantly facilitating the exchanges and guiding the discussion throughout this enriching day.
The Annual General Meeting was marked by a review of the accomplishments of the previous year. Attendees participated in votes to amend certain bylaws of the organization. Finally, to conclude the event, participants had the pleasure of enjoying wine from Vankleek Hill Vineyard accompanied by delicious pizzas, and members had the valuable opportunity to engage in discussions among themselves, thus fostering exchanges and strengthening community ties.
After this inspiring AGM, we leave this day enriched and strengthened in our commitment to the agri-food community of Eastern Ontario. The animated discussions, decisions made, and shared moments of conviviality were a vibrant reflection of our unity and collective determination. We take with us not only the precious memories of this day but also a clear vision and a new dynamism for the future. With each vote and each conversation, we have laid the foundations for a brighter and more prosperous future for our regional agri-food industry.
We once again thank all those who contributed to the success of this Annual General Meeting, from Vankleek Hill Vineyard for their warm hospitality to our members and partners for their active participation.
A recording of the Facebook live from the event will be available in the next few weeks on our YouTube page for those of you who were interested in taking part but weren’t available at the time.
