Discover Festival de la Curd

In 1994, the Fromagerie St-Albert formed a special committee to develop the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of curd, creating at the same time the Festival de la Curd. This annual summer event quickly became a must-see in the area, attracting tens of thousands of participants in Eastern Ontario.

In 2020 and 2021, due to health regulations, the festival was unfortunately not able to take place, but this did not prevent the organizing committee from putting together a project that continues to this day to raise the profile of the festival and engage the population. The “Oh La Vache!” project is an exhibition of life-size fiberglass cows, painted by artists from Eastern Ontario and the Ottawa-Gatineau region and installed in front of farms, businesses and organizations in the region.

In 2022, the Festival reinvents itself once again, as it cannot take place on the site of the site of the St-Albert Cheese Factory as usual, due to a major construction project. Instead of cancelling, the Festival de la Curd presents a series of cultural events at the St. Albert Community Centre. Four indoor shows for all tastes during the fall/winter 2022-23 season. Come in large numbers to the upcoming events for out of the ordinary experiences that will directly affect the Franco-Ontarian community.

Stay tuned to their active social networks to get the information you need to attend new shows and future events!
